Fee Yates Law maintains its offices at 426 Avenue A. The building is a designed Historic Property having been constructed in 1905. The building is also occupied by the firm's affiliate, Treasure Coast Abstract & Title Insurance Co. d/b/a Treasure Coast Title & Escrow.
The firm's history is the longest of any law firm of Fort Pierce or St. Lucie County. It commenced in 1905, the year St. Lucie County was created, when Fred Fee (Sr.) opened his law office, initially providing services to the commercial and banking interests of his father, Frank H. Fee, and brother, W. I. Fee. The firm's long history has as its genesis banking in Fort Pierce. In 1902, Frank H. Fee, founding Director and President, relocated the Melbourne State Bank, formed in 1893, to Fort Pierce, changing its name to the Bank of Fort Pierce. The firm early prospered from a mainstay banking and real estate practice which included representation of the local interests of Edwin Binney, renowned as an early development benefactor of Fort Pierce.
